Due to the current COVID-19 situation we are not currently holding any club meetings at Kington Langley Village Hall. This is in part due to the need to protect our community from unnecessary risk and because we do not feel, given the restrictions in place at the venue, it would be in the best interest for most of our regular members to attend – especially as this environment will be used by many other user groups and it will be impractical to adequately safeguard our members from the risks of cross contamination.
Sadly this is probably the longest the club has gone without offering face-to-face regular meetings in its 50+ years of operation! Previously our biggest foe was adverse weather and floodings!
That said, regular NETS are being held on Tuesday evenings in its place, and Foundation Level training courses are still being offered and run through the wizardry of the 21st Century.
The ZELLO community channel is also operational for club members to join in the regular discussions and debates.
It is the committees hope and intention that with all being well, we will look to return our meetings to Tuesday evenings in September.
Meanwhile – for those who aren’t aware, shortly before the lockdown, measures were being put in place to complete our operating area within the club which will offer a dedicated operating station, internet connected PC and a selection of various radios (including HF, VHF, UHF and DMR).
We, the committee, hope that all club members and Amateur Radio users who follow our club through this page are staying safe and well and we hope to speak to you soon!
